If you can, check if the reviewer has reviews elsewhere. Many accounts are created to post one fake review. If the reviewer has lots of reviews on other products or places, check to see if they are all uncannily positive (and often short).
The good news is that there are many honest HVAC repair service companies out there. You just have to find them. One of your best strategies is to talk to people you trust, like your friends, your family, your neighbors and your coworkers. If you don’t have anyone to ask about recommendations (maybe you just moved into town), looking at online reviews and recommendations can help. Keep it mind it can be overwhelming, too. Especially for large repair or replacement jobs, make sure you get quotes from several different HVAC companies. Often, the best option is to go with the quote with the middle price. If the quote seems too good to be true, it probably is, and the final price is likely to be much higher. Remember that in the long run, quality work from an honest and trustworthy AC repair company is worth paying more for, and the best price is the one that will ensure long-lasting, and quality results.
